This is becoming a bit boring now lads. Get behind the team and the management for an important game on Saturday.

No, Houston's terrible, negative tactics are what's become boring, as has people telling us to bury their heads in the sand and "get behind the team" - a phrase with absolutely no meaning.

Don't understand why people think we should applaud failure and just accept that we have a clueless manager, as it's what they seem to think we deserve.

Yes, europe 2 years running, and the scots cup, total failure. Cant imagine what a mess united would be in if we gareth and hobo in charge, sacking everyone everytime we drop out the top six

"Get behind the team" does have a meaning in my eyes. It means get along to games and support the team in a positive manner. Stop going on about sacking a manager as Westcoast says has taken us to Europe two seasons in a row and won the cup. Stop getting on players backs when they are going through a rough patch in form.

As a supporter of Dundee United a change of manager at this stage of the season will do no good to the club. We need stability and the only name I have heard on these boards is Jim McIntyre. sorry Jim but an inexperienced manager is not the way forward as proven in the past.

There's no point in mindlessly repeating your views over and over on this or any other forums.

Do something positive about your views; vote with your feet or - if you are really that convinced that a change of manager is the only way forward for the club - send back your season ticket to the club with an accompanying letter raising your concerns and presenting your evidence against Houstie.

No-one is forcing you to go and support the team.

Whilst I agree with SOME of the recent criticism of Houstie, I am certainly not convinced that supporters hounding him out is the way forward for Dundee United.

I will not be joining your 'Houstie out' bandwagon.

I haven't really got into this debate about Houston because it just seems that certain people wont accept Houson regardless of what tactics he uses or whether he wins us any more trophies. This has just got a bit boring reading the name calling and at times childish remarks. I can remember many years ago when Wee Jim first came to Tannadice there were people calling for him to be sacked on a weekly basis, it took him some time but he eventually made us into a fantastic team, before you jump down my throat, im in no way comparing the two or saying Houston could ever get close to the manager Jim was, its just an observation.
I can agree with some of the points raised on both sides of the argument, but for gods sake JUST SUPPORT THE TEAM, I dont think there is any chance of a change of manager in the near future so lets just get behind the team.

I will continue to support the team as I have always done, however I will also continue to raise my growing concerns regarding tactics and selection.

There can be no justification for Scott Robertson starting any games on current form. I have never seen a player retract so blatantly into a shadow of the player they once were. People say that supporters should vote with their feet, I think you'll find that many already have judging by the alarming drop in attendances. This 4-5-1 has to go, if it doesn't we will be in a relegation battle and then will people back Houston?

As I have said I will be there to back the team at all times, but I'm not going to blindly support a manager who is gradually alienating the supporters. I hope this can change, but I think things will only get worse from here.

As I've said before, I find Arabian Knight to be the most balanced and sensible on this issue. The manager clearly has his failings and backing him no matter what is not the way to go. The "He got us 3rd, 4th and a cup" is just burying your heads in the sand to what he's doing at the moment. I find that a more extreme view than wanting him sacked, as it shows complete denial to any sort of problem, when there clearly is one.

I have never known a time in all my years as a United supporter when everyone is happy with any manager we have had, and that includes Jim MacLean.
I dont think that you can support any team and always be happy with tactics/team selection/the manager etc, however if you are a supporter one thing you must do is back the team, that is not burrying your head in the sand, its called being a supporter. If you cant do that then as Cybershed stated, send back your season tickets stating your reasons to the manager and MD.
I am not to happy with the way things are going just now but I will always back whatever team is playing for us, that's what supporters do!!!
If Houston was sacked tomorrow, tell me where would the cash come from to pay him off? and who do you think would replace him and make the changes you want?
