I actually agree with fans being precious and if you give it out then expect to take it back. However, Ange doesn't help himself with the continual comments like and i paraphrase ' i always win a trophy in my 2nd season' and ' It's who we are mate'. Those are Trump type ego-driven comments in my view and the sort of stuff that Klopp used to say. The only difference is that Klopp knew what he was doing.

Dunno why people get so triggered by Ange. His i always win in my second season is a statement of fact. Its a bold statement and one he has to live up to but its based on a truth, and isnt some made up, spurious claim, which typifies everything that comes out of Trump's mouth.

As for "its who we are mate" if this was Slot or Howe saying "this is how we like to play" then no one thinks anything of it! Just because he has a typical casual Aussie way with words, folk get hung up on it.

For his own sake the guy probably needs to think more about what he says. not because there's much wrong with it, but its just gets everyone frothing at the mouth and making a big deal about it.

You've hit the nail on the head in your final paragraph. It's often the case that a manager's actual words are fine, but they can be controversial nonetheless. I would expect a manager with the length of service that Ange has had to be a bit more cute and not leave himself open to ridicule.

I backed Ange for a long time, but in recent months I've been on the fence. As of Sunday I became "Ange out". He reacts to every bit of criticism, but yet goes on a monologue in press conferences saying that criticism doesn't bother him and that he pays no attention to it. Well, the facts say differently.

To take the stance that Ange has, it needs to be backed up with results and trophies. He needs to wind his neck in until he achieves both.

Not true though is it? I liked him at Spurs and thought he did a good job, as most sane fans would, therefore I'd defend him if he's being made out to be some sort of flop by our own fans or accused of things I don't think are true.

I've already told you on a couple of occasions, he would not be my first choice to replace Ange and I've expressed doubts that he could do as good a job as he did before.

Anyway, far more likely Levy would reappoint Poch than rule out allowing him back. He wanted him back when he was at PSG and they are still on friendly terms. He might even be one of his targets now for all we know.

I'd be gutted at Levy making a statement that he'd not be allowed back more because we wouldn't get to see yours and Sandy's reaction to such an event.
