So basically…

…all that glitters is not gold!

Hear me out…

I walked up to this stunning lady wearing a lot of gold jewelry and asked her: “Is your name Gold by any chance"? And she said: “No!" And walked off!

Then it hit me the saying: “All that glitters is not gold."

Lesson learned.

Seeing as 'glitters' has been used for the past 3-400 years in this saying, I think we're probably at a point where it's relatively acceptable now.
