Bold statement by Arsenal this. Tying a player like Saka down to a new contract just goes to show not only how ambitious Arsenal are, but how convinced their best players are, too, that they’re on the path to winning major trophies.
Saka wouldn’t pen a new deal if he wasn’t certain Arteta’s men are going places. You’ve got to concede that most clubs in Europe would’ve been after Saka as well, so Arteta’s strong pull is clear for all to see. Don’t forget, Declan Rice was wanted by City but Arteta’s persuasion got the deal done at Pep’s expense.
Such a shame he got injured as the table could look so different right now.
I suspect certain fan bases may be rattled by this, considering 3 of their best players are potentially leaving because their ambitions can’t be matched by their club.

We have drawn 4 games during his injury. We played like we had a cushion. Saka was in form when we took a 9 point lead so not buying this excuse.

The gap only really passed 9 points a few weeks ago.
It's laughable that you think you guys would still be this far ahead if Saka, Havertz, Jesus and Martinelli werent injured all at the same time.
The gap at most would have been 6 points if you lucky.

Actually very true, but I think most would agree that Saliba has the higher ceiling and, with both at their best, is the better player.
