What do you guys reckon to Marlon King? I dont care if he scores 30 goals next season, i will still not cheer on a sexist thug. I havent cheered on Bowyer while he was here and feel let down by the club that we have signed this type of person. I know we havent much money but surely we have some morals and values?

Roskoe,
dead right. If only Nelson Mandela, Sir Cliff, Mahatma Ghandi and Mother Teresa knew their way round a football pitch (and, in the case of the latter two, were still alive). They'd certainly have fitted into AM's ideal age profile for his team.

sorry, Bowyer turned out alright for me....
I dont care who we get in as long as it is beneficial to the team. By that, I mean the player would have to fit in as well as score goals. Which would probably mean an adjustment in the players mentality. If he can do that, I really couldn't care less if he was Gaddafi himself...

Wouldn't surprise me to see Stan Collymore come out of retirement to play for the Blues. I would be impressed by that...
But if he started scoring goals, I wouldn't give a toss.

The way I see it,
If you were out with your family, having a meal, then one of your kids started choking and the only person willing to help was a certain Mr Marlon King, would you still stay on the moral high horse and say "no, I wont thank a sexist thug"
See where I'm coming from?

So i take it from the majority of responses that most of us dont care what kind of person the player is as long as they do a good job for the team then? This disappoints me tbh, i really think repeat offenders such as king have no place on the football pitch. As for mr king being the only person around to help a choke victim, do you really think he'd give a 5hit? Disappointed my fellow noses.

Roskoe,
Of course my scenario is flawed.
Each of us has an equally legitimate side to offer.
It all comes down to opinion.
Whether you or I agree or not with the signing, the club as a whole made a decision that decided he had paid his debt to society.
I imagine his victim and her family were aghast when he was released from prison and managed to find work again. And very well paid work it is too.
Lee Hughes had a similar backlash as have several others.
The bottom line is, will anyone really be prepared to boycot Stans while he plays.

Fairplay Pikey, i just wanted you to see my side of things. I know nobody will boycott a player and quite rightly too, it is a shame though as i feel that we have to support our team and i dont appreciate having to by proxy support such a nasty piece of work
