Trapatonni 250/1 to be NIreland manager

Not making this up.

Re an article on the Nireland board you can get odds of 250/1 on Trapatonni replacing Worthington as next NIreland manager.

Thats about as likely as Healy scoring a goal to be honest. 250,000/1 more like!!!!

Its beyond me why a manager could throw his hat into the ring for that job anyway.

NIreland are on their way out of the top 100 in the FIFA Rankings and are 4th seeds for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers!!!!!

Yet you will still find delusional supporters from the North who think they actually have a chance of qualifying from this group!!!!

These are the sort of wildly unrealistic expectations the next manage of NIreland will be expected to live up to. Mark my words he will forced out of the job by the bullies and boo- boys in the stands just like Worthington was.!!

Jesus couldn't do anything with that pub team at Windsor Park.

Mind you he seems like the wrong choice of manager for them anyway. I think the guy from the hot place would be a better fit for the home of Linfield FC and the IFA.

Seriously bitter little men (bar aidan) in this thread. Your country (although Spangles country isnt) is on the verge of qualification for Euro 2012 and all you can muster up is poor WUM articles about Northern Ireland!

I want the ROI to do well regardless of how NI are doing but WUMs like you lot make me hope Estonia sneak through just to visit this thread in the future.

Must be great to predict the future. Any chance of this weeks lotto numbers? People like you always write NI off but they always rise above expectation at some point. And i bet that really really annoys you Robbie.

As for the boo-boys comment, Steve Staunton springs to mind. Pot kettle black , results were not good enough simple as that.

No wonder you were banned from the NI board , same anti-NI rubbish from you Robbie , total hatred of the place (even though you havent been there in you life). You do make some decent footballing threads when your not acting like Spangles and his cronies. Such a shame.

Alex and you lads wouldn't be doing the same if the roles were reversed at the moment!!! Give me a break.

I stepped outside the line and made a few remarks on your board that were not Football related in response to a certain clown poster on the NIreland board and this was why i was banned from your board . And fair enough my comments were below the belt and i should have known better.

In the same way as an Everton fan will have a go at Liverpool on the Liverpool board or Man City fan on a Man Utd board i will continue to poke fun at your team. Its only Football at the end of the day!! NIreland are our closest rival so its only natural we each have a pop at each other now and again.

NI and the ROI are NOT closest rivals, they are close cousins who should be wishing each other the best.

As a diehard NI supporter, I have always got on well with genuine ROI supporters. The trouble is that some nordie ROI supporters or rather bigots, are constantly trying to stir up trouble between the two Irelands. Its their version of "divide & rule". Better to ignore them.

Oh by the way, no NI supporter wants Trapp! As far as Im concerned, whether you get to the finals or not, hiring Trapp has been a huge and unnecessary waste of money!

If you make it to the finals, and I hope you do, I feel it will be the result of impressive performances by players like Dunne, Keane, Given, Doyle and Coleman rather than anything to do with Trapp who I fear has only made it harder than it should have been.

Coleman? You obviously don't watch the games Man? Come on Shen do the research ......
You don't like Northern fans who support Ireland...they are Lundies who have the audacity to rage against the machine....we are all Irish after all...northmen southmen comrades all....

Shenendoah just because a Football fan likes to see his side do better than their closest neighbour (NIreland in my case) doesn't mean that they have a hatred of the side!!!!
Big difference between Rugby and Football fans on this island is all the Irish rugby supporters pretend they want to see provinces other than their own do wel. Yeah Right!!!! Football fans are more honest.
I was actually thrilled for you lads when you beat England (naturally i suppose) and Spain.

HOSED; 1988-12:
I'll admit I havent seen many of the ROI games, but what I have seen of Coleman makes me think he has a lot of potential.

I have absolutely nothing against NI fans supporting ROI(well only a little bit). I mean if they support the ROI in a genuine way thats fine, but if their supporting of the ROI team goes hand in hand with badmouthing and doing down the NI team then I object to it!

Im not talking about normal boisterous banter here. I love that that sort of thing! I think most of us do. Its part of our national character. As the bard said, if you come on here, you have to be prepared to take that sort of stuff on the chin. No Im talking about the nasty vicious humourless baiting. No time for that, Im afraid.

Take me, I support the NI team, but I like to see the ROI doing well also, except of course when they are playing us. They are my second team, if you like. I have a soft(hard?) spot for them.

The nordie ROI fans I complain about do not share this mindset. In fact, they probably dont support any team cos their overwhelming hate of the NI team over rides everything else and is all consuming!

And Nireland fans never have a go at the ROI team!!!!

Northern based ROI fans have every right to laugh at the Nireland team at the moment.
