superwhites,I already stated that we rested our better players.
But they had probably more players missing than us.
Either way it was poor.
But I dont agree about it was all about the result.
Its all about promotion.
Something that will not happen this season.

REVIES MATE, SUPERWHITES ALWAYS PUT THE ROVERS DOWN.
He knows well enough that our team that night was very much a weakened team too, we had lost loads of players through injury including Sharp and Mason who had been in great form before being kicked out of previous matches by nutcase defenders.
I was at the match and even being unbiased, i couldnt believe that we lost the match.
however, we did lose and thats football, but we have the opportunity to put things to right tonight and i cant wait for the game to start.
Lets hope that both teams are at full strength.

I just counted
O'Connor, Martis, Stock, Sharp, Mason, Coppinger were all being "rested" by the Rovers (meaning we didn't have much choice). Two of those, O'Connor and Stock were used in the 2nd half as subs. Couple that with the arrival of the Beast, Kirkland, Lalkovic, Chambonda and Iluna and I can see 7-8 changes in Doomy's starting line up.
Leeds rested 7 for the LC tie, Donny have a different manager and it's clear Grayson is right. Two different teams play tonight from in August. Rovers should have won back then but Leeds did. Who knows what will happen tonight!

Hey Fuzzy, Good morning
I have an observation to make and wondered if you had noticed the same.
Do you remember, years ago in the local paper ther was always a preview to the following days game? In that preview, there was, always, at the end of the piece, tomorrows line up or, if a bit of doubt, probable line up or failing that a squad for each team.
These days we have to wait until 15 minutes before kick off before teams are announced, given out on websites etc.
Why in this age of instant news, do we have to wait so long, have you an answer?

By the way Fuzzy, I know you have a sense of humour and so does a Leeds supporter. Lancashire White has posted the following two snippets which I thought were very funny.
They relate to Carlos Tevez and his troubles at Man City.
In one he says that if sacked by City, Tevez is to open a chain of sandwich shops, "Sub NO Way "
and that he is to be the new spokesperson for Blackberry as niether of them works.
I thought they merited a wider audience than the Leeds board where most people will not understand the jokes.
Well done Lancashire White.

Well superwhites, i was just remembering some of the previous posts you have made about us, thats all mate.
It should be a "gud un" tonight, i just hope that we can pick up 3 points from you tonight.
\ps thanks for saying you dont think we will be in the bottom three.

Yeah I saw the Tevez joke - very funny!
The late line-up announcement is all about the level of professionalism the game has reached. We are now in a game where absolutely any advantage, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
If Grayson knew what line up Deano was playing 24 hours before kick-off, he'd be watching those players on video all morning so that he could coach his team on what to do about them all afternoon.
So its cards close to the chest. 15 minutes before kick-off the cards are shown - too late to do anything much with formation, tactics or personnel.

We should have told him the team, they might have known what to do Fuzzy !!!!!!
