So, Branno joins Rotherham and promptly gets sent off in his first game. 23 registrations in 14 - 15 years. I gather his latest loan move is a credit to him because reports say that he simply wants to play football and chances had diminished with the new boss and the arrival of some loan signings. However, does anyone know any reason / gossip as to why he is always on the move?
Next on to Flapper. It seems he got substituted at half time in the Exeter v Huddersfield game because he was that bad. You don't see that often do you, a goalkeeper being substituted for being rubbish. To be fair I gather Pidgeley threw a goal in aswell.
I have not seen the Football League Show so I am looking forward to highlights of both games being available online tomorrow.
Branno and Flapper

I heard Krysiak actually had a hamstring injury that forced the H/T substitution.
Branno is Branno and is one of those players that seems happy to go out on loan for a spell in a first team, rather than warm the bench at whichever club he is signed to. He then usually performs well, gets a permanent move, gets dropped and the whole cycle begins again. Personally I like the man and when I have spoken to him his love of the game certainly shines through. He has admitted in the press many times that he isn't a gifted player, but his enthusiasm and energy have got him many a professional deal and he is enjoying his career whilst it lasts.
Good luck to the man, he is doing what many of us wished we could have done in our youth. I was lucky to be able to play at a decent non-league level for a while, but I would have handed all of that over for just one game as a professional. Branno, despite his limitations, has made a career out of the game and you don't do that for so long if you've nothing to offer.

Yes Wednesbury, I respect Branno too - for all the reasons that you mentioned. In modern day football players higher up the pyramid are often all too happy to just pick up the money without playing. You could tell with Branno (as is borne out by this Bradford - Rotherham move) that he only wants to play football. You can tell he is a winner too and really hates losing. That is a good trait aswell.
I wouldn't want him in our team ahead of Rhino or TJ but I would want him in there ahead of the £3 grand a week player.
I am not one of the anti-Branno brigade. He played ok for us and put his neck on the line for the club. I was appalled by the way he was treated by some fans whilst he was with us. It got to the stage where he was better off elsewhere for both parties.
I will look at the Exeter game to see what the story was with Flapper. All I read was that he had 'a torrid time' and was substituted. That might have been through injury, through being bad or a being bad because of the injury. Now, he was a player I was glad to see the back of (though I never gave him the treatment Branno got from some sections during games).

I respect your opinion of Brano chaps, but sorry i never rated him as a footballer.Wednesbury i have no doubt hes a great bloke to speak to and a great lover of playing football. For me i certainly would not like to see him in an Albion shirt again as much as that bloke on silly money we have got malingering on the bench.I wish him well for the rest of his playing days, but dont phone us Brano, wait for us to phone you.

Just watched the action from our game and those at Exeter and Bristol Rovers. Flapper didn't exactly look inspiring with the two Huddersfield goals he conceded. Branno's two footed tackle was awful.
The only new things I learnt from our highlights was that 1) perhaps Blanchett should have been more alert to the run of Josh Low, and 2) that was our first game that we have failed to score in.
The other thing I was reminded of was how good our 'keeper is.

Agree with all who say Branno isn't a great footballer - he had a mare of a time at the Pirelli, although Torquay fans will beg to differ and generally say he was a good signing for them.
His "tackle" last Friday was horrendous and he was rightly shown a red for it.
As for Krysiak, he seems to polarise Exeter fans and they tend to be with him or against him. He did his best for us during the spell he was at Burton and now he's Exeter's responsibility.
The last two seasons we have been really lucky in having two excellent goalkeepers and Pesch is going to have to pull some major rabbits out of a hat to come up with anyone half as good for next season.

Surprised Branno did not stay at Torquay to be honest. The fans liked him, he was a regular, he was obviously doing well there and he was in a team in the play-offs.
