If Hamilton Drove for HRT...

Would he be banned from Formula 1?

It's no secret that the likes of McLaren and their drivers get hugely preferential treatment over the smaller teams such as HRT, Virgin and in the past, Super Aguri. Back in '06 Yuji Ide had his super-licence revoked after an erratic race in Australlia and then having a part to play in 1 accident in his next race. Yet Hamilton has undoubtably caused 4 accidents in his last two races, was caught speeding behind the safety car, not to mention some very ill-advised comments and all he's recieved one drive through penalty and a 20 second penalty that did precicely nothing. Can you imagine someone like d'Ambrosio getting away with all of this? I certainly can't, he'd have been banned for a few races after Monaco and if on his return drove like Hamilton did in Canada, wouldn't be allowed to race again. It's utterly farcical, although it's seen all through sport that sportsment at bigger teams will be let off with many things that others wouldn't.

I love my motorsport but the shameful preferential treatment of Hamilton is wearing thin very quickly. Hopefully the other drivers will stand up to this, and refuse to race alongside him, otherwise one of them is going to get badly hurt at the hands of Hamilton.
