Struggling to get over yesterdays disapointment and as I often do I've been looking back at the seasons results todate looking for a little comfort.
1) Had we beaten the bottom side Bristol City at home we would now be sitting in 5th place in the league with a goal difference of atleast +4.
2) Had Matt Mills not handled the ball at Forest and Kasper not been sent off and Weale not flapped at that last minute cross we would be in second place with a goal difference of atleast +5
3) Had the fourth official given Beausejour a second yellow we would have surely scraped an equaliser yesterday and been joint top place all be it with a vastly inferior goal difference behind Southampton.
There... I've done it, I have convinced myself that the world is against me and my football club and justice will surely be done during the course of the season by some of the wrongs so far that I have witnessed being balanced out by some rights.
But when will those rights start to appear? The more I think about it, I can't think of one match changing event that has led us to gain from the other teams misfortune.
Somebody put me right please.

Had we stuck with Holloway we'd now be playing Rotherham in Div 4.

Stevie...still beating yourself up mate?
1) If only Kasper had not been in such fine form you're goal difference would have been zero.
2) if the 1st ref had booked Konchesky for hacking down Carr.
3) if the 2nd ref had booked Konchesky for dissent/ungentalmanly conduct for trying to get a fellow professional sent off would have been a second yellow.
4) if the second ref thought Kings tackle for the penalty was as the last defender....red card. As it was not even booked.
5) if only your defence could pass over the top ball s to your own .players instead of the opposition keeper or for the ball boy to retrieve from behind the touch line.
6) if only youre shots on goal were not 50 feet high and 30 feet wide.
7) if only you would admit your team lost due to their own shortcomings and not because of the ref who every pundit including Savage and Claridge agreed both refs were spot on.
Finally
8) have faith in your team. You will be in the position you deserve to be in come May. I think you will be playing Man. ure, Chelsea and The rest next season.

And the conclusion is from the feedback of my esteemed colleagues on the forum that we have had no luck from any of our games this season - confirmed.
RBC thanks for your views but on the basis of what you say it appears to be a little contradictory to suggest that we shall be playing top flight football next season - indeed if we can't play a ball out of defence or hit a ball on target then I fear it's mid-table again for us this season.
