Just noticed that Sean seems to be over his disappointment and is looking for a possible future back on the south coast. Not sure if Pompey fans will be too patient, but he might have more cash to play with.

And who can blame him, although I thought that Portsmouth went for the physical approach so it will be the reverse situation to what Saunders now finds himself in.

Who will have the last laugh?
Give him time and my money's on Sean and Richard.
I think the way things are going on a small budget Sean will pick up Stocky, Oster, Cops etc for a song.
The Blackpool game will reveal a lot tonight let's hope the luck is back in bucket fulls.

I dont think he would get stock and oster but if he payed us anything for copps it would be a result. I was a copps fan up until this season but hes been abysmal and looks like he's regretting not going to ipswich.£300,000 was reported to be the fee offered but im not sure anyone would offer more than £300 on his performances this year. i dont think portsmouth would take a risk on stock he's too injury prone now and if he plays 25 games this season we'll be lucky.im not sure oster would want to go as long as ds plays him in the centre his best position he'll be happy to stay i hope.he and billy are clearly the only top class players we have on their day

The thing is if SoD were to take some of our present squad, it might free up wages and bring in a few quid for DS to bring in his type of player. That way everyone wins.

NY, the reason I say he would get them for a song is that if they are not considered to be at the top of their game the price on their head goes down hence not much money for DS to play with when you compare to what they were worth a short while ago.

I don't buy your reasoning Alex. These are the players that were the backbone of the team, they are not, as you put it, not at the top of their game. They have been lacxking confidence due to several factors.
If we were to take your arguement, we might as well let them all go. They have played badly as a team, not as individuals ( No 26 excepted Lanzo), we have had good perfornces from all these players, they just did not produce together.
As has been said by Saunders, he is a different voice in their ears. To let these players go for next to nothing is not good business.
