hmrc has never put a football club out of business, although they have tried, portsmouth won, why cant rangers?

The political argument is flawed in my opinion. If HMRC win it, it would be very difficult to justify such a waiving of exchequer funds to the other nations within the union.
It would also not be an overwhelmingly successful p.r. move for unionism in Scotland.
