Not sure how much we have improved, but at the end of the day we have tried to introduce a lot of new players into the team with no pre-season to bed them in.
When you do this of course it will take time to settle.Since September the 1st we have had little time between matches and internationals to allow the new players to work with the rest of the team on the training pitch. Of course, this is the fault of Arsenal, so is not an excuse.

If we actually get Vermaelen fit, and have a run of games with a settled back 4 and midfield I think the improvement will be massive. Given time I think Mertesacker and Santos will improve the team.

Whether it is enough time to salvage a top 4 finish is debateable, but Spurs and Newcastle will give us a chance to catch up, I am sure of that.
