Good goal but a lot of players can look good on youtube

eg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b57IPvf6Sg

Even though he was useless that is still one of my favourite goals ever. I lost my voice for a week cheering that goal.

He's scored a few excellent goals for the Whitecaps since they signed him.

Unfortunately he's got himself on the wrong side of the referees in the MLS and has a couple of red cards and some yellows already.

If the price was right, Ally could do worse as he's got presence, works hard and has been most unfortunate with half his bookings.

That was one heck of a power play 1 pointer by the brown hairs.

Soccermoms you mean. To strike that late in the last quarter will have done wonders for the franchise. You have to question the DE-fence though. Awesome O-ffence though.

I see some numpties still get all bent out of shape by the use of the word 'soccer'. Can't believe some people are so narrow-minded. What does it matter what it's called as long as the word conveys the meaning?

It's not as we are all proficient in the use of English. Some of the worst treatment of the world's most popular language comes from the people of England themselves!

There are numerous other countries around the world who use the word 'soccer' to distinguish it from other sports, namely Australia, New Zealand and several on the South American continent for example.

If you want to take pedantry to the extreme, there is no more puerile or infantile word than 'footie' when used to describe the 'beautiful game'. Maybe when you've won the World Cup a few more times, the rest of the world might, just might mind you, pay you more respect and accept you might, just might mind you, have a case in thinking you own a small piece of the game of soccer, even if it is only on paper!

Come on, give us all a break and show you at least have a bit of intelligence lurking in that space between the ears.
