I've just been on Anfield RAPs Obscure 90s players thread and it got me thinking about players that were amazing on Champ Man but absolutely pants in reality.
The one I picked out was Bakayoko who signed for Everton
I think there was another called Balaban at Villa who was class but I'm not certain I havent made that up!
So lets hear some others that were standard purchases on the game but were not so great in the real world.
I'll go with another
Chris Perry. £5m from Spurs every time I started with a big(ish) club. One of the best defenders on the game.

Henri Saivet - he was quality. Consistently top scorer in my first team that picked up title after title but he never won a single senior cap for France.

anyone remember dean clarke (striker) and scott ridgers (am r)? Clarke was free and ridgers was less than 100k. These were around the 95 season. Rubbish in real life but awesome in the game.

Maxim Tsigalko was the greatest Champ player of all time. 8 hat-tricks in one season for Roma, finished his career with over 550 goals in less than 450 games

Bakayoko and Svindal-Larson were brilliant. I bought a young kid from Norwich City called Billy Bartlett who was amazing. He was voted World player of the year playing in my Liverpool team. Never heard of him in real life.
