Last Nights Alliance Meeting

A couple of points from last nights meeting

Firstly, one of the things I have been 'banging' on about for a while on here is the subject of a Reserve Team. Someone brought this subject up last night, and it seems that this is a positive subject close to Deans heart. Good, in my opinion, we keep more players 'match-fit'.

Second point, Dean seems to be very much interested in the Youth Set up at Rovers, something I understand S'OD was not particularly interested in. A point made last night by Dean was that when he was at Wrexham he encouraged the youth set up there too and as a matter of finances he had to move some of them on, for not much money at the time, but, importantly, he included sell-on clauses when he did transfer them. From what he was saying last night he is very much interested in the home grown talent for the club, another thing close to John Ryans heart.

From what I heard last night, it appeared to me that Dean Saunders seems to want to be invloved in more aspects of the club than Sean ever did, more than just the First Team, I just hope that he will keep us informed how he manages to fit more than 24 hours a day in, because if he manages to live up to the things he stated last night, then he is going to be one VERY busy fella.

It does appear that the board and the new manager are singing very much from the same hymn book if not the same page quite yet.

I'm not disillusioned - I didn't say it, Ryan did

A big ego is a common trait among successful businessmen.

The sub bit against Hereford was actually a great bit of PR. I'm not sure he intended it that way, but it did work

Who did it work for Fuzzy? Headless chicken running round laughing, what an insult to Hereford Utd FC. He is no more lilly white than my neighbours underpants on the line, clearly not

Well after today's showing I have even less faith in the McKay set up than before - or Saunders ability to use the signings. Chimbonda and Ilunga spent most of the time past the half way line waiting to put non-existent crosses into the box leaving us with a 2 man defence of Hird and Friend. - both had shockers but they were trying to cover the back line on their own too many times

I actually think Saunders could keep us up without this current situation. These players, minus Ilunga and Chimbonda actually got us 7 out of 9 points and now we're shipping goals again. Saunders commented on RS tonight about the back 4 needing to gel and leaking goals whilst they do - problem is there wasn't a back 4 today, it was 2 plus Stock. Not the way to combat Varney and Kitson who imo are one of the best strikeforces in this league

Two big dirty timber centre halves would sort them. tippy tappy crap is no good. get this sorted cos we are going to struggle, But we will be running the Keepmoat, and Donny _ Lass I know you were at the ill fated Westlife Concert that cost the SMC £70k. The lot want clearing out. It appears that a lot of people actually had been brainwashed into relegation because S O God said so

The reason a few are thinking relegation has nothing to do with brainwashing. It is because we keep losing and are 2nd bottom. As you would say Simples.

He claims in his book that that appearance led to a lot of TV and newspaper interviews. Whatever it did, it put Donny Rovers name in the media again.

Which is the only thing that can be said for the sorry state we're going to be in with the Keepmoat Car Boot.

I believe we'll run the Keepmoat though what that or me going to the Westlife concert has to do with my view on yesterday's game is anyone's guess. I went to all the others at the KMS too apart from Elton and the Tinchy Stryder guy. I also could have predicted it would lose money - concerts in football stadiums unless its U2 or Take That usually do

2 huge nasty built like brick outhouse centre halves would not have solved the issue at Pompey yesterday (unless they could each be in 2 places at once) The right back and left back being in the right positions to do their primary job of stopping crosses going into our box (primary job as defined by Saunders on Thursday) might have gone someway to helping though

My point is regarding the loss, that it is being used by your very own Thorne and Moorends Town Councillor Martin Williams as one of the reasons it should go and why are DMBC running a ground on behalf of DRFC. My point is that the current SMC and the Current DRFC CEO are all t o 55 e r s and could neither run the ground
or the club. My point is that with Kitson etc our goalminder was out jumped even with his arms up in the air. My point is why the heck is somebody not clouting these forwards before they get anywhere near the goal. my other point is that you will always argue whatever I put so Carry on
