Demon souls

Im just three days in playing demon souls, and im not sure what to quite make of it but its positive.

The number of reviews that mention " demon souls, harps to old hardcore gaming" like its some sort fanboy cult they were all in.... " we all played hardddd games" they praise the game difficulty level as if it was the game itself.. "its hard that’s all we need".

its tough but frustrating hard.... what makes you come back is the classic rpg element.... constantly upgrading your equipment... making yourself better.. changing your appearance , wearing different armour, changing weapons, upgrading stats such as strength, magic, luck.

This is the kind of game that will automatically be a sell out because that rpg element of upgrading stats is just so effective, its the reason why Pokémon does well and continues to sell on, it nails on that kind of addiction we all want from a video game.

The difficulty level is hard but that’s what we want... a challenge. Perfect example is when you first meet the knight (not the boss) in boleterian in the first level, you readied yourself, you concentrated, you analysed his moves, and it was satisfying beating him.

Rpg games like this are the way to go, i feel more praise should go to the upgrade element than the difficulty in my opinion.
