Although not a football article I just wanted to say RIP Marco. An absolutely horrific accident and a terrible loss to the sport - a future World champion in the making. Condolences to his family and friends. Sad, sad day for all MotoGP and sports fans in general. Coming soon after Wheldon as well!

Wheldon and now Simoncelli, 33 and 24 makes less together than I have. Dangerous sports both of them. Jackie Stewart said that he's lost 54 acquaintances to racing. Something should be done.

Gutted.
A great character either on or off the bike. Big man with a big smile. Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.
RIP Simo bud

The crash in America was down to stupid rule changes they just brought in where basically every car goes 220mph at arms reach, first death in 5 years.
The cars should be designed not to blow up in flames like they did, should look at F1 cars to sort that out.
I just looked at the motorbike crash and it's horrific.
They need to have talks with Formula 1 who now have a really really good safety record, even with cars flying in the air, crashing at top speeds and flipping upside down they come out normally with minor injuries.
But everyone knows motorsport is dangerous, especially bikes. It's a risk every driver takes and I'm sure the thrill of the danger is what makes them love the sport. Not much about safety they can do in motorbike racing unless they put in a speed limit.

I saw the Simoncelli crash and it was a bad one, his helmet came off. Something needs to be addressed with helmets if they are coming off, that shouldnt be happening.
RIP
