Eduardo

I think we should have kept Eduardo, especially in this situation where we lack clinical fowards and with only RVP to really rely on, I reckon Eduardo would have flourished

not on the wing.

A couple of seasons ago when RVP got injured playing for holland and Bendtner was also injured we ended up playing arshavin up front because Eduardo was playing like a man off. I really think the injury got to him mentally (as to be expected) but he seemed to lose his sharpness, imo it was the right time to sell him.

I still think he would have still been a better goalscorer then Chamakh, Theo or Gervinhio really at the moment.

In hindsight he would have been useful for us now in a 4-4-2. At the time though we had Cesc playing out of this world football in the
4-3-3 we had built to suit him.

I think we were right to sell him, no confidence, not suitable in our formation and needed regular football. Would be good if we rotate our formation from time to time to get the best out of players like arshavin and chamakh.

At the time, Eduardo's fitness was dicey, his confidence was shot and he had a long way to come back from that disaster against Brum. We had to sell him to give him a second chance.
