Evra has been a top left back for a few years now, but for the last two years his performances have dropped dramatically.
I am not creating an article slagging off all our players, just because of the City game. Because his bad performances of late have gone un-noticed.
IMO, he tries hard enough. He makes a pitiful effort to track back, and fails to follow his runner. I think this may be down to his status in our first team. For the last few years he has been our most used player, And has realised that he is un-droppable and could get away with a few duff performances.
I think we really need to bring Fabio in - I am not saying we should replace Evra straight away since as he still is a very good player. But he just needs a wake up call - A bit of competition just to let him know he can be dropped.
I can't remember Fabio ever puuting a foot wrong when he has played so I think he deserves a chance.

Considering how long he has been here we haven't seen a huge amount of Fabio...
He was good enough to feature in the CL final for us... and I think he did as good a job as anyone there... full of determination him and his brother don't go into anything half hearted.
Wouldn't mind seeing him play a few games...

You have a point mate. Evra's had a lot of poor games recently, Basel is another one that springs to mind.
I think he needs to be rested, he's played a lot of football over the past 2 years and deserves a short break in the sun. Let's put Fabio in there and try young Fryers as well
