David Bentley's five games on loan from Tottenham will eventually cost West Ham in excess of £400,000.
With the loan deal between West Ham and Bentley's parent club having no get-out clause until 1st January 2012, the Hammers are therefore responsible for a percentage of the 27-year-old's wages until that date - a figure estimated to be close to the £450,000 mark.

Oh and I would not tempt fate by laughing at a loan gone bad due to injury if I were you. Adebayor may well be the difference between a top four finish and sixth place.

Time to invest for sure, I have you down as very slight favourites for forth place. Get one or two more players in (the right ones) and it's your place to lose.

remember that £7m you guys had to give us when you bought him
that £400,000 doesn't seem like such a large figure anymore does it...
