Hi guys, I'm just wondering what you would think about playing this kind of formation.
---------------Woj--------------------
--------Kos----Mert----Vermalen------
Coquelin------------------------Santos
-------Ramsey-Song-Arteta------------
--------------Arshavin-----------------
----------------RVP--------------------
Obviously Sagna would come in for Coquelin when he's back.

Quite like it, at this moment though Gerviniho appears on form and I would select him. Where to put him in your formation is however a problem
PS Not a bad effort for a dirty leeds fan.

It's like an arrowhead, piercing the heart of the opposition defence.
Alas, it won't happen. Width is important to our style of play and that formation offers very little.

I have championed a 3-5-2 system a few times this season.
I think it not only plays to our strengths, but also compensates for the obvious weaknesses.
The right back position would be the obvious issue at this stage, and not convinced Sagna would be at his most useful as a wing back.
Also at CB if one of those 3 gets injured, although Song and Djourou would be options.
Up front we would have the option of playing RvP deeper, in the AA role, with Gervinho, Park or even Walcott ahead of him.
An issue with this formation would be that many teams play 4-3-3, with 2 wide attackers and only one central striker. Thus there could be a problem with TV and LK being drawn out wide leaving PM in a one to one situation.

Wing backs are not the answer.
Lacks width upfield as well.
