Evening F1 fans.
I am just really curious to find out your opinon on young paul.
Is he a decent driver but in a bad car?
Is he a bad driver with a good car?
I know sutil has out scored him this season but he seems to nail qualifing.
Force india so far have not confirmed there drivers for next season and there are 3 drivers up for 2 places.
Will he get a move to a bigger team. To soon for me, he needs another season with force india.
Would like your thoughts.
Di Resta

He is decent, but not great. The Force India is not a bad car, it is better than the Torro Rosso for example who Alguesuari is outscoring him with. That puts his performance into perspective. Nothing gets handed out on saturday, but the two seem very close on speed.
As for next year, strong rumours are that Sutil has been dropped in favour of DiResta and Hulkenberg. I find this harsh on Sutil considering he has out-performed DiResta but at the same time I am happy the Hulk gets another chance. The guy has huge potential and I imagine he will also beat DiResta.
So... he is an average driver in the midfield, but JB also started his career like this and has become a top driver. He doesnt deserve a top drive yet. Despite the (Lee and Coulthard) BBC PR machine working in full force.

i predict big things for di resta,it's really all about timing.
mercedes are edging ever closer to the front and i believe sooner rather than later they will start winning races
schumacher is doing a good job knocking the team and car into shape, but time isn't on his side, rosberg just doesn't cut the mustard
so in the near future, say 2/3 seasons time, mercedes will need a driver to sprearhead there assault on the championship, that's where di resta comes in,if he can do enough in the next couple of seasons,i think he will be at the head of the queue for a prime seat in formula 1

Di Resta is a decent driver,he is just naive at times resulting in him losing his front wing time and time again.
He beat Vettel in Formula three so clearly has the talent,I expect him to move to a big team in the near future(Mclaren/Mercedes). I can't see It being Mercedes as Schumacher has not got long left before he retires again In my opinion.

**naive at times when trying to overtake, resulting in him losing his fron wing time and time gain but he will learn It is his debut season in Formula 1 so he can be forgiven.

Di Resta is the top rookie for 2011.
Yes Alguesuari may be outscoring him but the Toro Rosso is no slouch this year either, especially on the low downforce tracks where its top speed is king.
As someone else stated, Di Resta has beaten the likes of Vettel in equal machinery (F3).
His potential is higher than Sutil's which is why the team are likely to let Sutil go. Sutil is unlikley to get any faster whereas Di Resta's potential to surpass his German teammate is apparent.
He's also got links with Mercedes who are said to be interested in pairing him with Rosberg once Schumacher finally calls it a day (again).
