Listening to talksport on the way home and they are certain Alex McJudas will be officially unveiled as vile manager within the next 24 hrs.
With the LMA siding with McJudas, it looks likely we won't get any payout.
All we have to look forward to is a new manager like Hughton or Di-Matteo who plays open attacking football, Europe, retaining the Carling Cup and promotion.
What a c.rap season this will be !
Huh,
McJudas to join vile in 24hrs

Regarding managers contracts in the fairyland world of football.
"Most managers or professionals in mission-critical positions have a non-solicit or non-compete clause. Basically this means that if one leaves company A, one cannot work for other local competitor companies, solicit clients or staff from company A for (usually) 6 months. (12 in Birminghams case) So under these common contract clauses, if McLeish leaves Birmingham, He can't work for Villa (or Wolves or WBA) for 12 months. He might be able to go to, say, Newcastle straight away, but even if he does, he can't start signing Dann, Johnson et al for 12 months either.
On 1July any compensation due will be deemed to be £3 Million because from that date Birmingham City are officially a Championship team. Alex McLeish 's wages will drop to £900,000 to reflect a drop in League status.
If Alex McLeish were to remain unemployed for four weeks with no contact or approach to or from another club he would be free to join any club without any compensation being applied."

I thought as much!
Ok McLeish not happy that his scout was sacked, and that players he would want to keep would be sold.
But the board own this club, they can do what they want.
Surely they are not happy at the money the club has thrown away, and i am not talking about on players who Eck plays they have been good buys.
But surely they are upset at the £100K or so wages plus fees ontop wasted on Hleb and Bentley who McLeish never ended up using enough.
Surely they are puzzled at giving McLeish money to sign Michel only to see him again not used, for them to loan Derbyshire and Martins and again not used often.
I guess it was a gamble with Zigic and his big contract.
McLeish and his staff have always made a mess of some signings usually the big money ones, look how much was wasted on Bent, Quincy, Sinclair, Costly and Bouazza in Championship and they all hardly kicked a ball.
The board lost confidence in money they wasted on attacking flair players suposed to change the style of Football only for them to not be used and then see us use our negative system.
Imagine if Eck got the Man City Job and signed Ronaldo and Messi only to drop them on the bench because he prefers to play players who do more defencive work.
And as far as players being sold, sadly McLeish needs to understand that relegation means costs need to be cut.
With the sqaud and wage bill we had last season we would not make a proft really, so yes while some of those players are gone, not enough as been cut to offset a £30M loss in revenue.
So assets will have to be sold off.
Unless Yeung and Co really have good backing.
Which i doubt and which i think McLeish knows and thats one reason he went.

Don't know how so many people can dismiss 5 million in compensation. That is a considerable chunk of a transfer budget for the league we're in.
I agree with the player transfer comparison. If Messi retired from football then signed with Real 5 days later you'd be sure to see some sort of legal action taking place. Don't know why it would be different for a manager.

Well if its in the contract your right, Panu should fight for that compensation.
£5.4M could be the difference from keeping say a Foster or having to sell him due to a £8-10M offer.
I just want it sorted, maybe we wont be a Prem Football Club for a while who knows.
I do beleave that the football would be better to watch.
If McLeish stayed and we made no more signings and thus played same as last seasons sqaud, only with Fahey at RM over departed Larsson and maybe odd game we see King and Jerome uptop.
I think if we sold all our starting 11 from last season and used half the cash raised and half the wages saved that another decent Manager could build a side that would play better Football at this level.

Mcleish is a honourable man - you guys need to wise up and see your owner for the charlatan he is.
He constantly undermined McLeish in the press - broke confidentiality clauses regarding McLeish's contract.
McLeish will sail through any hearing about his conduct in the matter.
Your owners are leading the club down a very dangerous path.
McLeish brought you ther most success in the club's history - was promised huge invesment and never got it.
Wise up.

"was promised huge invesment and never got it."
Spent more, net, than anyone other than Chelsea or Man Utd in the last two seasons, so I've read.

Well i guess Yeung should not have made £40M pledges but if his pledge was inc wages then indeed over the 2 seasons he has spent more than £40M
McLeish was backed.... its no ones fault clubs was over charging.
We are not a big club and Birmingham City, even a Villa cant go around willy nilly payinng over inflated prices we are not a Man Utd/City or a Chelsea.
Why pay £13M for Jones and £65K a week when the season latter he signed for Stoke for £8M and £45K
Why pay £15M for N'Zogbia when eventually he would come down in price to a realistic £9M its no ones fault he then got greedy with wages.
Why pay £10M for Babel when season latter he was sold for £6.5M
Why should we pay £13M for Pavy or £130K wages for a Kuranyi.
Panu never really undermined McLeish! or Yeung.
