I agree. and said something very similar on this site t'other day.

I saw the article mentioning that we arent much better off than under Hodgson. But as you say we are playing much much better. We are once again dominating games and creating chances. We are just not converting those chances...yet

For those that watch us regularly you can see how much better we are since Hodgson was in charge. And that cant all be changed in 6 months. But we have moved a long way in the right direction.

The key here for me is for the team not to become too disheartened by the 'poor' results, because the performances are getting better and the results will come if we keep chipping away at the imperfections in the performances.

I miss Rafa though.

We would be 1 or 2 up and you pretty much knew that was it.

Just as worrying than the shooting, we have dropped more points that ALL but Villa this season, from winning positions (inc THREE home games).

Agree Jav.

The defence has been surprisingly weak. I think that is partly due to Carragher being past it, but also down (partly) down to our wastefulness up front. Other teams are looking and seeing that they are in with a chance of breaking forward and grabbing a goal at 0-0 and 1-0. If we put our chances away and go 3 or 4-0 up then I'd be surprised if the opposition had the remaining morale to get forward and force a goal.

I can see what you are getting at but I think it raises a good point. And a lot of positives can be taken from it. This time last season Liverpool couldnt be criticised for wasting numerous chances they were creating.

As we were not creating many or in some cases any chances. It highlights how much we have moved forward in just 12 months from my perspective but also raises a good point that the job is not complete and that there are still things to be worked on and weaknesses in the side.

But most of us sensible fans would have already known that.

The fact that we are creating these chances is ver encouraging. Other than the Spurs debacle, no team has out played us this season
