Hats off to Umpire SK Tarapore

If there are more umpires like him, greater will be probability of test match not ending in less than 4 days.Batsmen around the world will be elated if there are more umpires like him because he gives notout to those lbw shouts which are considered as plumbs by most of his contemporaries.

A fantastic effort by Pakistan may prove futile by a non -elite umpire.

Agreed, what a woeful umpire....

Anyone know his previous experience and also where is he from?

I have seen him umpiring in an international test before.Atleast 2 well establish sides in test cricket deserve 2 elite umpires supervising a test if not DRS.Cant fathom why he was selected ahead of elite umpires for an international test.May be the elite are only used for IPL and Champions league.

Icc will probably put him on the elite umpires list now

PCB should have more say in the allocation of umpires for our home test.Atleast we deserve 2 elite umpires. We had to contend with Asoka in the series against Windies and now Tarapore who seriously needs to reminded of lbw laws.

Shavir Tarapore, (born 26 December 1957), is an Indian One Day International and Twenty20 cricket umpire, who has umpired 9 ODIs and 2 T20Is.
Shavir Tarapore first stood in an International ODI in 1999. He has since umpired 9 ODIs and 2 T20Is

Interesting, made his debut in 1999. 13 years on, hes umpired 9 ODis and 2T20s only. what does that say? The guy should take a good look at himself in the mirror and call it quits. Just not good enough!!!

true hamza bhai.

dont know which road the icc pick these clowns up from and make them umpires. my blood was boiling yesterday after sangakarra was given not out when caught by shafiq at leg slip.

Only one test coincided with this ,Windies v Bangladesh, both inferior to Pakistan and Srilanka ,yet we had a debutant supervising ours.If I am correct, then Harper supervised most of our group stage matches in WC then we bore Asoka in the Windies and Zimbabwe series.Time for Pcb to raise this issue.
