I often drop in

on Annis Abraham's Cardiff board. It gives the same feeling that people must once have had visiting Bedlam.

Generally its full of people claiming inside knowledge of everything at Cardiff City, sucking up to Annis, claims that they had always forecast anything that has ever happened with a general atmosphere of thuggery.

But they've outdone themselves tonight. The expectation is that Alan Shearer will be announced as the new manager tomorrow ("The Malaysians have told me," "I remember I said this two months ago," "You and Carl are absolutely right again, Annis) but instead of the sensible person's reaction of slitting their throat rather than seeing their club fall apart with the pieces descending into League 1 THEY ARE ALL FOR IT.

I know you won't believe that so I'll repeat it slowly:

They think that his personality and passion is going to fire them into the Premier League along with Bellamy, his new best mate. This is the man who couldn't sell bags of crisps, this is the man whose managerial career to date is won 1, drawn 2, lost 5, the man who can make NLN look as if he knows what he is doing, the man who is reportedly going to be paid £1 million per year.

They could have had a manager for a fraction of that.

And they are all for it.

It's proof beyond all dispute that the Malaysians are really Swansea fans with a wicked sense of humour.

Can you imagine if this had happened to us?

But at least that's one team out of the running for promotion next season. They'll probably be relegated by September.
