So Did They Win 6-0 Or Not

Looks like the final ignomy for wee Neil is his one and
only away win in Europe is about to be snatched away.
Things are so bad he can't even win a make believe game.

After having consulted the clubs in Group I of the UEFA Europa League, UEFA has now invited FC Sion to express its views on the potential impact of the club's possible reintegration in the UEFA Europa League, and on the match schedule in particular.

Respecting the process as announced, UEFA is pursuing its consultations with the clubs that could be affected by FC Sion's possible reintegration if the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) should decide in favour of the club. UEFA has therefore invited the FC Sion management to discuss the possibilities.

If the CAS decides in favour of FC Sion in the dispute between UEFA and the Swiss club, the UEFA Europa League calendar may have to be adapted. The CAS wishes to hear both parties on 24 November.

If accepted by FC Sion, this consultation could take place next week.

It would be interesting if they adopted the two home two
away schedule.

Provisional dates are 24 Nov 01 Dec 08 Dec 15 Dec and 22 Dec. Celtic playing Thursday/Sunday all the way through December prior to the next OF game.

The ONLY reason Sion have a case is because UEFA are based in Switzerland and a Swiss court ruled in favour of the cheaters.

Hector - you are absolutely correct. But if YOU could see that this would happen, and I could see that this would happen, and we have to assume UEFA had a whole room of lawyers to hand, why have they screwed around for so long.

The fact that this has turned into a complete farce is to be blamed solely on UEFA. Sion have only protected their interests, as just about any other club would have done.

DC1

So Swiss clubs have an unfair advantage over the rest of UEFA controlled football due to geography.
We should entice UEFA to set up shop in the new Scotland.

Basically - yes, but only because of the way UEFA are set up. The only thing that could over rule UEFA was a court in their own back yard.

Anyone that shows UEFA or FIFA up is good in my books.......come on SION !!

I thought Sion refused to let it go to the CAS? Am I 2 weeks behind in the story?

Maybe Celtic should have written that letter of complaint in capitals... and put - FACT at the end of it.

If they get back in it is because numerous courst in Switzerland and then CAS have agreed with the argument they have put forward and therefore UEFA acted incorrectly in expelling them in the first place.

They may have a geographical advantage that they are based in the same country as UEFA so have used their own country's legal system to challenge UEFA, but they still have had to prove that case!
