Can it be done?

You often hear people say "you can't predict the final table after 10 games" but can you?

lets see if anyone can, after 10 games (for most teams), predict the final top 4 and bottom 3 at the end of the season.

mine are
top 4
1 Man City
2 Man Utd
3 Arsenal
4 Chelsea

bottom 3
18 Wigan
19 Blackburn
20 Wolves

I'll bookmark this and come back to it in May.... the winner (if there is one) get's the highly thrilling prize of a and the right to call themselves Mystic Meg, if they so wish

Lets keep this on topic.

offtopic / comments not including a prediction and/or wums will be deleted.

Well, I predict that most people will have now lost interest because of your refusal to allow anyone to actually engage with anyone else in regards to the predictions that they've made.

i stated in the article and numerous times since that i don't want to see loads of waffle. i'm not sure how much clearer i could have been that anything that is not a prediction of top4/bottom3 would be deleted.

if people still post other things, then they can obviously expect them to be deleted.

ZZ this article has created about as many complaints as predictions, people get peeved when they find what they see as a valid and on topic comments deleted. Unfortunately people often choose how they engage with the site and content, so get annoyed when their contributions are deleted. Having done a fair amount of deleting over the past few months myself.... It may be worth letting people having their say/debate and deleting non-prediction off comments at a later point.

1 city
2 spurs
3 manu
4 liverpool

18 wolves
19 wigan
20 swansea

--------------

If you are deleting comments that dont make a prediction, why is the1st comment still up? Leaves you open to accusations of abusing the delete

When you find you are having to delete content from lots of people it might be safer to let stuff flow as opposed to creating (rightly or wrongly) resentment against your account/article.

i've just asked you to close it on the feedback thread.

i'm not sure how much clearer i could have been that it wasn't about chit-chat, it was about seeing if anyone could predict the results. clearly some people just see that as a challenge.

ho-hum... lifes a beach and all that.
