Just wondering what, as fans, your thoughts were on the new EPPP ruling. There was a debate last night on Sky Sports News about it featuring Steve Parish (our chairman), Tony Carr (your youth development coach i think?) and a few others and Carr seemed pretty keen on the whole idea from what I've heard.
I was just interested to know if all of your fans felt the same way, or if you were against it? Personally, I think that if this goes through it could be one step closer to creating an elitist premiership where the gulf in class between it and the lower leagues increases, as well as potentially killing the career of many potential future England players, but that's just me!
Thanks!
Thoughts on EPPP...

tbh I don't know enough about the EPPP plans to comment, but I think I can talk for most West Ham fans when I say that the opinions of Tony Carr MBE are almost sacrosanct at the Boleyn, he has been in charge of youth development since 1973 and is arguably the most successful youth coach of all time.
For exemple of the 23 man England squad for the 2010 World Cup no less than 7 trained under Carr - Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Glen Johnson and John Terry.
So I will trust his views until I have time to look at EPPP plans in detail myself.

This seems a fairly decent explanation of the EPPP:

It is off a website that is against it, so may be a little bias but all in all I think it's fairly clear in the implications it shows.
