There goes our chances of reaching the euros...

At least McShane and Keogh are still ok

While i agree Gibson is not good enough to be a regular in our starting 11 he is no way as bad as mssrs keogh and Mc Shane.
He packs a good shot and plays his heart out whenever he pulls on the green jersey.
You were having a go at O'Shea last week who next on your radar?

That's highly debatable. I've never seen Gibson tearing around the pitch and putting in tackles. He's a very casual player. Andrews might have his faults, but he gives every ounce of energy he has to the cause. Gibson barely breaks sweat.

Whenever Gibson gets the ball within 30 yards of the opponents goal, he just blasts the ball at it. At least 80% of the time the ball will end up either 10 yards over or wide.

Agree with Franko. Gibson never plays his heart out - a factor that prevented him from holding a regular place at Wolves when there on loan.

However, it does leave us one central midfielder down in the squad.

Gibson always wanted to play for NI.

Nobody wants to play for the b team sorry I mean NI. Gibson is a decent back up that's all. Although Andrews gives everything when both him and Whelan start our midfield has no creativity.

Even though Micks comment is tongue in cheek it would probably have been better for Gibsons career if he had opted to play for the North.
He would certainly have won a lot more International caps.
And all a player has to do to become a "hero" for the GAWA is to win a corner kick
In all seriousness we could learn a thing or two from them. We tend to be over critical of our side

No we just have higher standards!

Thats true but it really annoys me when people have a pop at Robbie Keane. Yes he can be a lazy sod at times and is annoying when he constantly pleads for free kicks when he has the ball taken off him but...... he has scored 51 goals for us!!!!!!

Robbie Keane is a great little player who always gives 100% and has saved the ROI's bacon more than a couple of times!
