Balotelli - Smoker

What do you think of this?

Seen him in The Sun today, smoking a cigerette with an adult actress.

Do you care about his off the field antics? Or only about his performances?

Do you think behaviour like this (smoking) is limiting his advancement?

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Mario just smoked that cigarette because he knew the paps were there and it would result in another thing for people to talk about.

Mario - THE media tart!!

But this was not Rooney making the most of an extended holiday after the World Cup - a tournament in which he fell woefully short of expectations and railed against his own fans.

This was not Rooney caught in a private moment with family and friends at his luxury £5million mansion in Barbados or the five-star Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas where he and Coleen had already enjoyed more than their fair share of carousing this summer.

This was Rooney after less than a week back in training for Manchester United, and four days away from his first pre-season game.

United fans pinning their hopes on him spearheading the club's attempt to win back the Premier League title, and England supporters who spent thousands following Rooney and his team-mates on a fruitless campaign around South Africa, could be forgiven for wondering what he is playing at.

Rooney's physical appearance certainly won't be helped by smoking

It was reported that the group, which included his younger brother, Graham, kicked off the evening with a Chinese meal before moving on to popular Manchester nightspot Panacea, where they were shown to a VIP table.

While the rest drank £250 bottles of vodka, Rooney disappeared out of a back door with some of his friends to smoke rolled-up cigarettes in the street. Hardly the way a Premier League player who will shortly become United's highest earner on £250,000 a week should be preparing for the new season.

He was even pictured relieving himself against a wall behind a bottle bank when, one would hope, his aim was considerably better than in South Africa where he failed to score a single goal. It was not the best image for a star who banks millions every year from sponsorship deals to project to his legion of young fans.

Why are your guys banging on about Rooney?

The OP is a Derby fan and this has nothing to do with Rooney

Rooney is such a good roll model, if I want my kids to grow up into the kind of person who spits in photographers faces who cheats on his wife an unborn son with hookers in the club hotel, who elbows people in the face and acts like nothing has happened, who holds his club to ransom and them acts like nothing has happened, well I will tell them to act like man u's Wayne Rooney!

The OP was commenting on Balo and his smoking, I personally was showing him that it doesnt semm to have affected other top class player, Rooney, Cole and a couple more in the article (well maybe not Bridge).
Having a pop at 1 player because they happen to be called Mario while totally ignoring the fact other players who might be called Wayne, or Ashley are doing the exact same thing? Well what would you call it? League of Gentlemen, well it is Derbyshire

Did you know footballers who smoked two or three cigarettes a day would perform much better at high altitudes. Not really relevant, but then this thread's a bit tiresome anyway x
