Rumours are circulating that the biggest tench of 2011 has been taken.

News of the fish, believed to be close to a staggering 14lb, broke in the last hour following a tip-off to the Angling Times newsdesk.

It’s believed the fish was caught from a Sussex day-ticket complex – but exact details have yet to be confirmed.
