What a sickener!

I think it has to be said that yesterday evenings result was a sickener for all true fans. It seems as though Rachubka has imploded as some players do but It's not something we can fathom the answer to unless your a genius like Jonty that is.

Walsall has intimated that, because Rachubka let in 9 goals in his last three games after a 15 month break he was gone before he left Blackpool but that is too simplistic. He was 1st choice in the promo season and Ian Holloway was happy to play him until he suffered a serious injury. At the time he came back Blackpool were seriously on the slide so not neccessarily his fault.

SG signed him based on his knowledge of the player when he played for him at Blackpool, I can only assume that he's suffered a breakdown in confidence which couldn't be predicted.

Jonty claims to have had his rant and is now suggesting we move on. His rant contained little of Rachubka but Jonty isn't one to miss an opportunity for one of his regular rants when he knocks the club and all aspects of it but we are all coming to expect that from him by now. What I find particularly irksome is after he's loaded the bullets for his gang to fire he steps back into the shadows and recommenses his role as Mr Reasonable..

Last night was a shame for the club and a tragedy for the player because the best opportunity of his career has been blown and he has to live with that but we all have to move on.
