Was actually beginning to wonder if it was something like that. Not really up to speed with this filtering business. Oh well, no harm done.

Just checked again. It seems OK now. They were all actually articles by 1988-2012 that were closed. However, 1988 has been very prolific on the ROI board recently, accounting for about half of all articles, so I got the false impression that the closure applied to most posters.

Apologies Shen. I filtered you by accident!!! Genuine mistake as i always enjoy debating with your goodself.
Apparently i have to wait 4 weeks before i can "unfilter" you. This unfortunately prevents you from typing replies on my articles. Sorry

Hang on, if you'd filtered Shenandoah, how where you able to comment on this article or even see it in the first place? You must've unfiltered him to be able to comment on this article, in which case the 4 week thing would be irrelevant unless you refiltered him after making those comments o.O

Elementary my dear Hamann!!! You simply log onto the 606 board without actually logging in . Then you can view articles and comments of the people you have filtered.

filtering is for wimps

I assumed you must've been logged out to read the article, but i still don't understand how you commented on it if he was still on your filtered list, unless you unfiltered him, but you said you couldn't for four weeks because of your "accidental filtering".

The only thing I can think of is that he has been on your filter list for longer than you made out and you simply unfiltered him when you saw this article, then pretended that your filtering was an accident, as I know you didn't ask the admins to do it for you.

Hence my original call of SHENANIGANS!!!!

barrytheblender or whatever name he now has filtered me a while back. I thought this was really strange as I'm one of the least aggressive posters on the roi-ni boards. Agree with Mick, filtering is for wimps

Nah it was a genuine error on my part hamman. The only reason i filter posters is when they make comments that cause the article to go off in a different direction. More often are not in a non Footballing manner
The Mods haven't got back to me yet so i'm still unable to unfilter people at the moment !!
Not because i disagree with their comments.
