talk of ronaldo 100th for real madrid got me watching a few of his goals for us, when i watch it i remember that slight arrogance, genius and the air of invincibility he exuded, whenever he played i was absolutely convinced we would win! every other team where s h i t scared of us, mainly due to ronnie and i have to say class of 2008 were just too good
agree with some of the comments that carlos queiroz was quite influential but having said we've seen that style of play at the beginning of this season and the question is whats happened to it? it was like watching the class of 08 all over again

Id say one major difference is that teams arent scared of us anymore. With ronaldo they had to be extra wary so couldnt commit as much meaning it was easier for us to control games. When we lost ronaldo, teams lost that fear and so have been more inclined to come at us.

Rooney-Tevez-Ronaldo attack equals opponenets running scared.
Long with VDS, Evra, Vidic, Rio all in their prime equals virtually unbeatable team
