Apparently this is true and Ive just seen a media rumour that Citeh and Chelski may consider a bid of £40m.
If what Sagna said (accoring to the bbc rumour page) that Cesc is desperate to leave I think Wenger should say to Barca we want Villa and £20m or no deal. If they want him as much as they are rumoured to I think they would eventually go for it.
The obvious down side is we would lose Cesc, but if he doesnt want to be there...
On the plus side, its a big name signing which will please some fans and players, it will give us a bit of extra cash to strengthen other areas, it may help keep Nasri who prefers a central role which would then be available and i'm sure theres more you can add.
Would it be worth it and how would it impact the team?

barca wont sell David villa, firstly he is Spanish, secondly he is a first team regular and thirdly he has had a good season.
So no chance of him being sold.

Truth is if you watch his interview, Cesc is excited about next season with Arsenal, believes we can be the best team in the world with some adjustments to the team, he does not know what the boss is doing in regards to players moving in and out...
He says Arsenal fans are the best around (yeh right, they trust media garbage too much though!)
he says he has all he could want and is an Arsenal player and does not a repeat of last summer in terms of speculation...
If you read Bacarys full intereview instead of snip bits you will see all he says is that Cesc is a fan of Barca and they all know one day he will return, as do we...
most likely when his contract runs out and he will go at a price low enough for Barca to afford...
SO we can stop with the Fabregas stories now, although i know tomorrow someone will do another article saying exactly the same stuff...
I feel sorry for Fabregas i hope the fans will keep supporting him and not listen to media garbage paid to cause trouble...
