He has good finishing, a great delivery. He can take free kicks, good header on him. Quite skillful too.

Agree with the John Carew comment, but that was when he wasn't playing well and was still developing i would say. Before Houllier came, and under O'Neill he was playing very well.

Gabby has the attributes but I don't think he has the intelligence to always use them properly, as do a lot of English strikers. Walcott is another one.

Exactly what I was thinking. Yes he works hard, but that's about it.
Any half decent manager would notice this.
