Wanting to gauge some opinion on Charlie Adam.
For me of all Liverpools summer signings he has been the poorest. He is not mobile enough to be part of a 442. He is positionally poor, lacks any sort of pace and his tackling is abysmal. He leaves Lucas (who has been excellent) to do twice as much work.
The only way Charlie Adam should be playing is in a midfield 3. Allowing him to sit, pick up the ball and pass. Im not sure any team can afford this luxury though. Alonso provided the same sort of passing range, but was also extremely intelligent off the ball and worked hard.
For me in a 442 (without Gerrard) I would play Henderson. This kid has shown a lot of potential. He has a great touch and has plenty of energy to get around.
How do fellow LFC fans rate Adam? Are you happy when you see him in the starting 11?
Charlie Adam....in your starting 11?

I reckon not only train spotters, but middle class and probably Tories who have jumped on the footballing bandwagon 'cause ye tennis coach said you were rubbish.

One of my main disappointments with Adam is his £10m worth set piece which seems to worth almost nothing now.

I think the fact that Suarez keeps taking the ball off him when we have good positions might be a factor in that.

Adam's performances confuse me. He was dreadful for most of the Swansea match but once Carroll came off he seemed to get in the groove.
He seems better when he has players running at pace for him to pick out and lets face it, we don't have many of those.
We just haven't gelled as a team yet.
BTW has anybody noticed Aquilani is providing assist after assist at Milan

Yes and it doesn't surprise me one bit. A great player who is excellent at linking the midfield with the attack. How I wish we had him now.

Well he's did it at Roma, Juventus and now Milan. It is no surprise he wanted to go back, after the first season when he was slowly gelled into the team, to avoid another injury, we finally got him fit and he had some fantastic performances, which resulted in fluid passing and movement, towards the end of the season.
Then Hodgson comes in and loans him out. He must have thought at that point, why bother?
So we can hardly blame him for wanting to leave. I say good luck to him. He is a top guy and a top player.

Can't argue with that, we did a good job of alienating him on more than one occasion.

Err he's probably been our best midfielder this season.
Honestly fellow fans, what do you lot smoke?
