Are there any Sale fans on 606? It doesn't appear to be a very popular board! But anyway...
Richie Gray is joining Sale in June 2012, a great coup for the premiership team on the accendancy. Sale won't make the playoffs this season (though i'm praying otherwise), but top 6 is realistic. With the addition of Gray to that young pack, give em a season or two and they will be immense.
I just wanted to ask people views on Richie Gray? IMO the best young lock in world rugby. Dan Vickerman looks a useful player for the Aussies and Courtney Lawes offers dyanamism and determination, but neither compare to Gray currently, he just oozes class.

although im not the biggest rugby fan (or a fan at all) i liked what i seen from RG in the 6 nations but i thought he was lacking at the WC. Would like to see him go to the top - Will he be able to do that at Sale? Thats another question

Indeed a great signing by sale! Given how Grey has burst on to the scene i would have expected a bit of an auction for his services. Fair play to sale.
As for his prospects, well i think hes great and a real prospect for the future, however he is not as good a Courtney Lawes yet, and indeed Lawes is not a prospect rather he is an established young player. Grey is certainly getting there and should grow to be outstanding in the next couple of years.
