I keep seeing Defoe being linked with a move away from Spurs in January. He seems to be available for around the £8 million mark. As we sold Arteta for £10 million maybe we could use the money to fund a move for him. (I know the money may well have disappeared and I don't want this turning into a financial debate!)
I would love to see him at Everton as he is a proven goal scorer in this league and arguable at international level.
I would assume he wants to play first team football on a regular basis as the Euros are fast approaching. We could certainly guarantee him first team football.
Even though we aren't in Europe it doesn't seem to put Fabio off of our players, 3 in the squad at the moment.
So would Defoe be a good move? Would his wages be a stumbling block?
Thoughts?

Hello
Being a Spurs fan, i cant honestly believe we would let him go for only £8 million, especially since we got £12 million for Crouch, and we all know Crouch is not a footballer
It all depends on who we can get in January, if we can get in an improvement on Defoe, and Defoe himself wants to move, then Everton would be an option

I don't want Defoe to leave unless we make a big signing, but...
I think QPR would be more likely - he's a London boy so I can't see him going far. Shame, cos I think he'd be perfect for you
