Ian McGarry, a host on BBC Radio 5 Live, posted on his twitter account: "#THFC reject a bid of £21.5m for Luka Modric from #CFC. Chelsea prepared to go to £25m and possibly more. #MUFC will compete.". Following this, he has posted "Contrary to statements, #THFC will sell Modric for £30m+. Depends on whether valuation met/exceeded."
Another twitter post from Ian McGarry
''Modric wants CL football next season and if need be will ask for transfer. He knows of #CFC and #MUFC interest. Cant see how #THFC keep him''
Let the bidding war commence...

Pathetic bid.
So Henderson is worth roughly the same amount as Modric? Imo he's worth 30M in today's market.
Also, didn't Man City pay 27M for Milner?

Why would he go to chelsea, if can go to Manchester united?

Just goes to prove it's Abramovich who buys the big stars i.e Shevchenko, Torres, Crespo etc. not the manager

If Modric is worth £30m what must Hernandez be worth. It is getting beyond a joke. SAF should keep sourcing young relatively unknown players and bringing them on. Let the teams like City with more money than sense keep paying £27m for the likes of Milner.
