Now a few days have passed and the initial shock turned to anger then to acceptance, is it time to move forwards?
McLeish has gone.
As each day passes I feel more at ease with what has happened, and find myself watching the vile fans antics ever more pleasing.
I mean, defacing their own training ground, protesters storming the ground to 'take' the steps outside the Hole End.
Some have sworn to never set foot in the ground while Eck is in charge.
Amazing.
We will receive some compensation from Mr Learner. Both sides lawyers are reportedly thrashing out a deal. I would guess the £3 million that would be due from 1 July .
So fear not.
They have a negative manager who the fans don't want.
They could be in a relegation battle.
In contrast, we have hope.
We hope the board appoint the right man.
Judging from these pages and polls dotted around, our choice would be from Hughton, Curbishley, Zola and Di Matteo.
I hope they get it right.
KRO.

I was absolutely delighted when I heard that McLeish was leaving.
Thanks for the Carling Cup and all that, but for the football - how could anybody thank him for that dross.
As a lover of football, I actually feel for the Villa fans - of which I have quite a few friends. They know what style of football he plays, so you can understand why they are worried. If you think about it, it would have been like O'Leary coming to us.
I would like Hughton or Di Matteo.
