So happy our bid for Modric has been rejected, he is not as good as everyone says, and I seriously hope this is the last in out interest for him.

Midfied is in need of vital replenishing. Then get some wingers. Get mikel out, get Kalou out, and take out Anelka. Bring in Sanchez, Modric and Adam.
Modric only worth £35m tops, if it faisl ,go for either sneijder or pastore.

Gliding past our players with ease. Granted its only one match. Does he score enough though?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't score enough, he's more of Xavi/Iniesta type of player, pulling the strings in midfield.

Except in a far inferior way
The (not in the £35m bracket) type of inferior

He is good at what he does. Stats can lie and Xavi doesnt get many goals or assists but he controls the midfield and influences the play. Modric is the type of player we definitely need.

Modric is so overrated by people on our board. 3 goals and 3 assists a season IS NOT Chelsea class. All Modric is is a good passer and we have that in Mikel. Quite frankly I'd tater see Josh rotating with Lampard. Not only is mcEachran approaching tge same age Wilshere, Rodwell, Muamba and Henderson etc. Made it into their respective first teams next season, he's homegrown and would cost 30 million less than Modric. Buying average players for that kind of price will not help the team move forward at any rate nor will help us break even - a long term target.
Josh has looked ready in all the games he's played this season and won Young Player of The Season. Then instea of seeing him move up the pecking order we might see a new midfielder that will keep him out tge team short and long-term. Plus we have PiaZon arriving in less than a year. I also think Modric rotating with Lampard will let us see a better version of Lampard as he will have rests between games, instead of starting every one

Xavi got over twice as many assists as Modric...

Mikel, a good passer.
Meanwhile, Modric stats show little if you look only at goals and assists. He is a VITAL peg in their team, and acts like a composer before a grand orchestra.

I wonder if moody is good enough to make the step up to a big club
