At the end of the season a reporter asked Harry Redknapp what hed be doing for his holiday.Harry said this would be the busiest time of the year for him.Hed be looking at players watching the U21 matches and going abroad to look at players.No holiday for him.
In the blue quarter there new manager has already almost replaced the backbone of the side.New goalie,CB and midfielders.
Although we finished comfortably for much of the season we were in relegation trouble.We just werent very good.Now Maynard could be going and its all quiet on the James front.At the moment survival next season will be an achievement!

Possible blue in disguise here shiny, with or without nicky, the stability that Keefs giving us and with the squad we have we are still a strong team in this league. I know that we will sign 2 or 3 quality players, look at stead/pitman/caulker/spence. Im sure we will be seing players of same calibre in the coming weeks, whiile offloading a few ie Hunt.

seeing as our assistant manager is looking at the under 21s while he is there anyways why does keith need to do much when he has a scounting network at the club (improved compared to gary's) so he mainly looking at premiership and championship players atm and not treading on his staffs feet from 1st of july i expect a few more deals done from when people arent on holiday

It can be frustrating when there seems to be nothing going on behind the scenes, but you have to give them a chance.
My main worry is that we won't be able to offload any of the players that are surplus to requirements, and the size of the squad/wage bill has been a worry for far too long.
It's not as if there has been a huge amount going on elsewhere either, two high-profile British signings aside...
A couple of full backs and a good central midfielder and we'll be a half decent side, in my opinion.

On a slightly different topic I've just had a txt message from a pal back in Bristol who says there is a rumour going round thet GJ recomended Albert to City anyone know what thats all about? I can't get an answer from him atm because he's gone out with the g/f and turned his phone off as usual.
