He's just let in a 40 yard strike from Balotelli in the Poland vs Italy match.
He's obviously conceded A LOT of long range efforts at arsenal in his short career so far as well..... And I've been noticing for a while, although most of them are good shots, he could have done better on lots of occasions.
I like the fact he's admitted this as well, in a recent interview with arsenal
Tv online. It shows he doesn't let mistakes effect his game, but instead takes them on the chin and tries to improve.
His main problem is he doesn't move his feet quick enough. From the top of my head, I can remember both Rooney free kicks at old trafford, walker goal at spurs, mata goal at Chelsea, Larson goal against Sunderland where IMO he could have made a movement earlier and made the save. The goals all look incredible strikes but you expect the keepr to save them. For example, the Larson free kick was from the middle, he shouldn't be scoring it as the angle is incredibly difficult. But still he scored and although a good free kick, szczesny would have undoubtedly been dissapointed with himself.
Im sure he'll improve on this part of his game and also his kicking. Otherwise he's a good goalkeeper and we're very lucky to have him. He's pulled off some great reflex saves, but he should work on how he deals with the long range shots.
Szczesny's problem with long range efforts

I read somewhere that he has let more shots in from outside the box than any other goalie this season.
That's where I feel Fabiasnki is better. But with time he'll improve.
Chesney is still one of best keepers tho. He has leadership, commanding pressence in the box, really good reflexes etc.

I've noticed that, too. Although there was nothing he could have done about that Mata goal.

Szczesny is only keeping the gloves warm until Martinez is ready anyway. ==

I agree with the first part. The Walker goal was the only one I could really pin on Szczesny, he got a solid hand on it and should definitely have parried it. Otherwise, I think you're picking on him. You'll be calling him De Gea next.
