Simple question this...
which media source do you find most reliable? Many people seem very hostile to the Mirror and they do sometimes seem negative about Leicester.
However...in my opinion, our dislike of the Mirror is not based on it being wrong, but often it being the bearer of bad news.
Some examples are Martin Allen's sacking, Milan Mandaric being investigated for tax evasion and more recently, Sven having 5 games to save his job.
Today the Sunday Mirror are saying Pearson is due to be appointed LCFC manager tomorrow.
I'm inclined to believe them.

Thanks man in the long black coat!
Most media sources are rubbish, even local ones. The Mercury just print 24 hour old speculation from other news sources and Radio Leicester don't seem to know much, ie Stringer trying to make a story out of "O'Neill won't speak to me"
Tomorrow should be the day we land Nige, only a week late!

Well if you are talking about black market info then Eriksson got it pretty much spot on.

Any media speculation is just that 'speculation'. They basically can write, or broadcast anything they like in an effort to attract attention. I tend to not believe any sports media source unless it is reporting on something that has actually happened. Even then it can be somewhat subjective.
However I also don't believe most politicians, lawyers, financial analysts, weathermen, doctors, police, teachers etc etc.....stop the world I want to get off.

The best ITK source I have found is a guy called John Percy on Twitter, He's a Midlands journalist and posts accurate tweets.
Examples being, Matt Mills to sign whilst Wolves were the big favourites to land him.
He also predicted the impending fallout with Hull over the level of compensation for NP CS and SW. Before there was any mention of it.
Basically if JP Tweets it then it's 95% of the time accurate and not the usual rubbish from Twitter.
BTW he also wrote on Saturday evening that NP would be announced Monday/Tuesday.

The Mail and the Mirror are terrible for football. The mail had our next managed "confirmed" about 4 times, for different people. The BBC, the guardian and to a certain extent the Sun are decent, rarely wrong.

The Mirror's write up of our first game of the season was appalling so I've not read their rubbish since.

During the transfer window, there were many 'ITK' Twitter people (Bert, Fourth_Official) who seemed good but, towards the end of the window, when rumours were flying around left, right and centre, they weren't accurate at all.
I think they had a bit of inside info but nowhere near as much as they claimed and just seemed to expand on media reports (hence the varying degrees of accuracy) to make it seem like they knew what they were talking about. I only really take notice of Stringer and Tanner now on Twitter now because they are the only ones who we know definitely have sources within the club.
Speaking of Tanner:

Expect an announcement to confirm Nigel tomorrow.

With a date now set for Mandaric to be tried for tax evasion, it's easy to think that this bears out all the accusations against him. Let's not forget, though, that he was also accused in 2007 (yes, it's all been going on for over four years) of having been involved in fraudulent transfer payments and money laundering, and as far as I can recall was never even charged with either, let alone convicted.
In the current case, we should take care not to read 'on trial' as 'guilty'. At times the Mandaric-Redknapp-Storrie-McKay-Faye affair(s) have featured some grotesquely inept police activity, and a 'not guilty' in this trial would not surprise me in the slightest. (Though it's harder to see what excuse *Harry* thinks the jury's going to believe).

Very right and proper, fatfox, well said.
All the same, cannot help being glad that the various media articles about all this do not now mention LCFC....
