Forwards.

Rooney. Berbatov. Hernandez. Owen. Welbeck. Macheda. Diouf. Bebe.

Our strikers going into this summer.

Rooney - staying
Berbatov - staying
Hernandez - staying
Owen - staying

Welbeck - loaned to Everton? (They need strikers, he needs games.)

Macheda - loaned to PL club? (The loan move to Italy was pointless, needs to learn how to play in the PL. Will likely be sold to whoever takes him on for the year.)

Diouf - sold.

Bebe - loaned out to ?, in which case, his OT career is over / staying as 5th choice. If enough interest is shown from a Bursaspur (sp?) or the like, he's off. If he stays, league cup and emergency player.

So our forwards will be (only my opinion)

Rooney. Hernandez.
Berbatov. Owen.
Thiago Bebe
(King if Bebe goes)

Then next summer Welbeck will return as one of the 4 main forwards. Berbatov and Owen will move on (Owen may even retire) and a striker will be bought.

Rovers

You font have to defend your opinion mate. I made this thread and my defenders one earlier precisely for this kind of debate. Diouf has more pace and strength due to his age and build I'd say, and certainly will be a big hit at whatever PL club he goes to eventually. As you say though, he needs to be played as a proper striker, and I'd wager your management this season didn't want to run the risk of becoming reliant / built around a loan player. Having watched and supported him all this year, would you be happy if an offer was made by rovers for him and if so, what do you believe he's worth given his time spent with you and that he's only 23?

i feel diouf probably wouldnt cut it into uniteds stye of play
i wouldnt mind him back on loan at ewood but certainly wouldnt be my first choice, at blackburn we need a goalscorer and diouf at the moment and with the pressure of relegation that will be looming over us isnt someone you can rely on for goals with the lack of creativity in our team.
I think diouf could be a hit in the premier league, he just has to prove himself somewhere he is going to play first team and play in his suited postion week in week out to gain confidence something i feel he had lack of at blackburn along with everyone else last season!
united shouldnt underestimate him though i feel he could be a good back up player to you to use on the wings and upfront when needed, his pace is unreal at times

He's never been a winger. Ever. He's been played there to try and develop his all round ability, but he's not suited for wing play at all. You only have to look at him, what, 6,3-6,4 and that he cant cross for beans to know he's a centre forward Wayne.

rovers - what happened to Kalinic - he was in good form last season then didn't seem to be able to get a game this season?
the players you need to keep are Hoillet, Olssen and Samba - obviously samba has been linked with a few clubs but i think you'll do well to keep the other two out of the gossip columns as well

every rovers fan is asking the same question what happened to kalanic!
kalanic to be honest was dire under allardyce, hes not a target man alone striker, but with a striker beside him i feel he could go on to score 10+ goals a season
he should that he could when we played west brom away he just constantly ripped them apart playing along side diouf, coincidently! but then as soon as he hit form becoming a good first team player, kean decide he wasnt as good as bejani and roberts, being the expert experienced manager he is, and weve never really seen kalanic since...

I think its almost ineveatble we'll lose samba now, but hopefully hoilett, who is unreal, should sign a new deal. olsonn is made out to be more than he is to be honest, hes good but we dont really know were to play him he cant cross and he cant defend really!

You have some other good youth players comming through though - am i right.
Whats happening to the spanish loan players you had? one was from barca wasnt he Fornica? How did you manage to wangle that one - do the new owners have links to lots of agents?

rochina from barca he looks promising, not really had that much playing time yet but when he has come on he has shown signs of class hopefully next season we can use him as a major part of our team. bad thing about him is if he plays well barca have a buy back clause which is a shame.
the other lad we got formica from argentina, no one has even seen him play yet! doubting whether he even exsists! hopefully he can have a good pre season and they can improve our attack in the next few years..

ah right it must have been Rochina i saw play then - he came on as sub in one of the games towards the end of the season and looked typically spanish - balance technique etc and a lovely left foot. Its all well and good getting those types of players but your manager needs to change your style of play if he wants to get the best out of them and keep them happy.
My brothers a Rovers fan so I watch them whenever they are on but it has almost become a family joke watching Robinson take freekicks anywhere up to the halfway line - pumping it into the area!!
