Time well spent?

http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10329~2515245,00.html

Just read the above article on our website and was a little bit confused.

Don't get me wrong I think its absolutly brilliant when teams give back to the community but surely given our current/ real league position we should be spending a bit more time on the training ground.

I mean 128 eductional visits..im sure the kids enjoy it but i bet they'd enjoy it alot more when they stop being bullied for supporting our 'pub team'

Having looked at the list and seen how far in front of other clubs with many more resources shows us in a very good light. I hope the people in the media dept do there jobs and get this out into the public.

We recently got a lot of bad ( there is no such thing) publicity regarding Willie McKay, let's hope the press do the same with this story.

Where are all the other local teams, Leeds, Owls, Blades, Barnsley, we should be progressing in changing minds about who to support.

What a great thing to see, I for one am a great fan of this work done INBETWEEN the players training sessions, and since billy sharp helped my boy make his Christmas card to his mummy and daddy 2 christmas's ago in kingfisher school, he made such an impression with him he became a real billy sharp and doncaster fan (with a touch of help from me!!),
keep up the good work Doncaster and after a decade all the banners will be at the keepmoat!

Found it Alex

Very good idea. I am surprised we have to do it against Saints as even though a long trip. I would have thought we would have an almost full house. Anyway, good for the kids, lets hope the coaches take it up and we can spear a few to come more often.

Its the best idea they have come out with so far and credit where it is due.

Once these kids come on board there is no chance they will go off to Sheffield or Leeds. Why would they waste money on an inferior team?

They are our supporters of the future. I would make the club do it for the rest of the season but they should keep a data base of the participants and judge how successful it was. Like all the ideas you put forward they have to be assessed and the effective ones kept.

Hey Alex, it took over a day but you finally caught one mate.
It just shows how much time they spend trawling our board looking for something to pick on.

Hound,
the problem is its superwhite again, no fun there then!
All you have to mention is Garry Sprake and they turn in to gibbering recks.
Cant wait for our next game against the mighty leeds after all we are just a pub team at the bottom of the league, it can only get better for us, we hope.
