Walters hard done by?

I for one think he should of stayed in the team after Fridays performance.

What kind of message does this send to the other players in the squad?
When your picked, play your heart out but as soon as the regulars are back, you'll be out of the team?

You would hope he will come on as a sub later on as a reward for all his hard work in the First leg.

I think Doyle is really under pressure now to keep his place in the team.

Trap has promised everyone a runout, but obviously that cant happen. I reckon Keane will only play 60 mins (keep him fresh for Galaxy, replaced by Cox) and McGeady will come on for Hunt.
Apparently the injured lads (Long, Kilbane and Foley) have also bee invited along to join the party (but lets not party too soon).

Id say its because doyle hasn't scored in a while and estonia are just making up the numbers tonight, so gives kevin a great chance to get among the goals, walters is up and running with his and will come on when legs are tired and hopefully add to it, plus if the game was in the balance walters may have started.

I wouldn't underestimate Estonia too much tonight Igor. They are hurting for sure at the moment. In a way the pressure is off them so they'll go all out.

Hopefully this will leave lots of gaps for us to exploit and wrap the tie up in style

Goalkeeper, two central defenders including captain out, time to whip some soviet ass and let the party begin.

Would it be disrespectful if Shay played the last ten minutes up front?

Give him a half and put mcshane in goal and trap in the center and we'd still win.

1) We're 95% there and can afford to rotate upfront where we have lots of stregth.

2) Doyle badly needs to score goals again and get his confidence back as Igor rightly pointed out.

3) Stoke manager Tony Pulis won't want Walters knackering himself out again when there's a Stoke game on Saturday and he's probably requested Trap to rest him.

There is an enormous amount of politics and tug of war over players that goes on between club and international managers for these games and just because none of us can see it in the papers doesn't mean it's not going on.
